OCOEE RIVER, Tennessee (AP) -- Lecky Haller and Matt Taylor had a flawless final run to win the men's doubles canoe title in the U.S. Canoe/Kayak Slalom Olympic Trials. With a spot in the Sydney Games on the line, Haller and Taylor took a two-second lead over David Hepp and Scott McCleskey into the final run on the Ocoee Whitewater course Sunday. Hepp and McCleskey finished in 1 minute, 58.50 seconds, but were penalized four seconds for two gate-touch penalties, giving them a two-run total of 4:09.89. Haller and Taylor followed with their perfect run to finish with a 4:06.89 total. David Hearn (single canoe), Scott Shipley (single kayak) and Rebecca Bennett-Giddens (women's single kayak) also won titles in the three-day competition.
