WHAT: TNT's eighth season of NFL coverage with nine regular season games. Pro Football Tonight, airs at 7 p.m. (ET) prior to, at halftime, and for 45 minutes immediately following each game. WHEN: TNT kicks off the '97 season with a two-hour live special edition of Pro Football Tonight on Saturday, August 30 at 8 p.m. (ET). TNT'S LINEUP: Verne Lundquist, Pat Haden and Mark May are the game announcers. Craig Sager is the sideline reporter, while Bryan Burwell offers reports and commentary from around the league. Vince Cellini and former Pro Bowlers Keith Jackson and Sean Jones host Pro Football Tonight. Pro Football Tonight uses live virtual 3-D technology, enabling the studio announcers to interact with graphics. The technology, a sports TV first, was used on TNT's Inside The NBA series for the 1996-97 season. |
