JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Titans lost two starters in the first half to broken bones, but receiver Yancey Thigpen is holding out hope that he can play in the Super Bowl.

Thigpen said his right foot has been bothering him in recent weeks, and he thinks he sustained a hairline fracture when he planted on the foot on his first play. He played long enough to catch a 9-yard touchdown pass from Steve McNair and then left the game.

"We know what the problem is so hopefully with technology the way it is we can do something to give me a chance to play next week," he said.

Free safety Marcus Robertson broke his left leg chasing James Stewart on a 33-yard TD run in the second quarter, and he won't be able to return. Anthony Dorsett, who started in the regular-season finale when Robertson was recuperating from a motorcycle accident, will replace him.
