SAN JOSE, California (Ticker) -- Sherdrick Bonner threw for 321 yards and eight touchdowns to lead the Arizona Rattlers over the top-seeded San Jose SaberCats and into their second consecutive ArenaBowl.

Bonner, who tied for the second most touchdown passes in an AFL playoff game, completed 21-of-30 attempts without an interception.

He tied the score at 7-7 with 5:28 expired on a 31-yard pass play to Randy Gatewood.

The game MVP, Bonner found Gatewood again on a 34-yarder with 8:01 remaining in the contest to supply sixth-seeded Arizona with a 59-49 advantage.

Gatewood finished with 12 receptions for 227 yards and five TDs en route to being named the game's Ironman.

He also recorded an interception in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory.

Tom Pace had a pair of touchdown catches and Frank Trentadue notched a sack along with 1 1/2 tackles for the Rattlers, who will be looking for their third ArenaBowl title.

Mark Grieb finished with 254 yards and seven touchdowns, but threw a costly interceptions late in the contest for San Jose, which beat Arizona twice during the regular season.

Kevin McKenzie caught four touchdowns and James Roe added a pair for the SaberCats, who lost both fumbles they had in the contest, including one that killed their final drive with 51 seconds left.
