The U.S.'s top cyclist pedals for gold in the 137.7-mile road race, which winds through the streets of Buckhead. Armstrong, 24, who dropped out of this month's Tour de France with bronchitis, will also compete in Saturday's individual time trial, a four-lap race run over the same 8.1-mile course.
