  • The Hawks traded Mookie Blaylock and Jeff Foster to the Warriors for Jason Terry, guard Bimbo Coles and forward Duane Ferrell.
  • The Seattle SuperSonics traded the draft rights to Corey Maggette and the contracts of Billy Owens, Dale Ellis and Don MacLean to Orlando in exchange for Horace Grant and two future second-round draft picks.
  • The Golden State Warriors traded the draft rights to Jeff Foster to Indiana in exchange for the draft rights to Vonteego Cummings and a future first-round draft pick.
  • The Atlanta Hawks traded the draft rights to Jumaine Jones to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for a future first-round pick.
  • The Atlanta Hawks traded the draft rights to Roberto Bergerson to Portland in exchange for cash consideration.
  • The San Antonio Spurs traded the draft rights to Leon Smith to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for the draft rights to Gordan Giricek and a future second-round draft pick.

  • Toronto traded the rights to Antawn Jamison to Golden State for the rights to Vince Carter and cash.
  • Dallas traded the rights to Robert Traylor to Milwaukee for the rights to Dirk Nowitzki and Pat Garrity.
  • Dallas traded Martin Muursepp, Bubba Wells and the rights to Pat Garrity and a 1999 first-round draft selection to Phoenix for Steve Nash.
  • The L.A. Lakers traded Nick Van Exel to Denver for Tony Battie and the rights to Tyronn Lue.
  • San Antonio traded Carl Herrera and the rights to Felipe Lopez to Vancouver for Antonio Daniels.
  • Utah traded the rights to Nazr Mohammed to Philadelphia for a future first-round draft selection.

  • Washington forfeited its first-round pick as compensation for re-signing free agent Juwan Howard in 1996.
  • Philadelphia traded Don MacLean, Michael Cage, Lucious Harris and the rights Keith Van Horn to New Jersey for Jim Jackson, Eric Montross and the rights to Tim Thomas and Anthony Parker.
  • Milwaukee traded Johnny Newman, Joe Wolf and the rights to Danny Fortson to Denver for Ervin Johnson.
  • Dallas traded the rights to Kelvin Cato to Portland for the rights to Chris Anstey and cash.
  • Seattle traded the rights to Bobby Jackson to Denver for the rights to second-round pick James Cotton and a 1998 second-round pick.

  • Milwaukee traded the rights to Stephon Marbury to Minnesota for the rights to Ray Allen and a future first-round draft pick.
  • Utah traded the rights to Martin Muursepp to Miami for a future first-round draft pick.

  • The L.A. Clippers traded the rights to Antonio McDyess and veteran guard Randy Woods to Denver for veteran forward Rodney Rogers and the rights to Brent Barry.
