ERIE... RHP PRESTON LARRISON, who made a spot start in Class AAA August 18, tossed six scoreless frames in a 3-0 blanking of Portland August 24. Larrison, who has allowed three earned runs or fewer in his last five starts, scattered four hits and a pair of walks to pick up the win...

3B JACK HANNAHAN launched a two-run homer in the top of the 11th inning to send his team to a 6-4 victory over Portland August 22. Hannahan, who also singled and scored a run, homered over the right field wall with one out in the 11th inning. 2B SCOTT TOUSA also belted a two-run shot. The following night, Hannahan had his 17-game hitting streak snapped...

LAKELAND... OF DAVID ESPINOSA doubled in the game-winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning as the Tigers edged Dunedin, 8-7, August 25. DH NEIL JENKINS homered twice and drove in five runs in the victory. Jenkins also homered the next night in an 11-6 win over the Blue Jays...
