LEXINGTON... LHP JESSE CARLSON took over the longest scoreless innings streak in the National Association this season with 1 2/3 scoreless frames in a 7-6 win against Delmarva August 26. With that outing, Carlson extended his streak to 35 in a row, surpassing Shane Nance, who had worked 34 consecutive for Indianapolis of the International League. For the season, the 22-year-old UConn product has gone 3-0 with a 1.20 ERA and 13 saves...

OF FREDDY ACEVEDO hit an RBI double and scored on a single by C MARK OBRADOVICH in the top of the 12th inning as the Legends beat Kannapolis, 5-3, August 23. The next night, 3B RYAN KOCHEN hit a two-run single in the top of the 10th inning to beat the Intimidators, 6-4....

MARTINSVILLE... C KEVIN DAVIDSON struck a home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to lift the Astros over Princeton, 8-6, August 21.
