| Golf teacher and author Harvey Penick, 90, died on Sunday, April 2, 1995 after a long illness. Masters competitors including Ben Crenshaw, Tom Kite and Davis Love III were all disciples of the well-known teacher. Crenshaw, who went on to win the 1995 Masters, memorialized Penick with his victory.
